Fischer Brothers Aviation started as Shelby Sky Haven, Inc. and name chaged to Fischer Brothers Aviation in 1963. It became an Allegheny Commuter in 1969 and later a Northwest Airlink in 1986. The airline was then purchased by Midway Airlines and began operations on June 15, 1987 as Midway Connection with the hub being Midway Airport, Chicago
